"आत्म प्रकाश" : The Light Within

A few days back , I read a beautiful story about Chuang Tzu, a great mystic of China. The story made me dived into deep thoughts . I just want to share the story with all of you : One morning, sitting in his bed, Chuang Tzu looked very sad. His disciples had never seen him so sad. What had happened? Was he sick?   They gathered around and asked him, “Master, what is the matter?” He said, “The matter is really difficult, I cannot solve it; perhaps you may be of some help. In the night I dreamed that I had become a butterfly, and I was moving from one flower to another flower.”   The disciples said, “This is nothing to be sad about. In dreams we all do strange things; and this is not a bad thing  to be a colorful, beautiful butterfly. Why are you so worried?”   He said, “You have not heard the whole thing. The problem is, now I am awake and I am wondering whether Chuang Tzu dreamed that he is a butterfly, or now the butterfly has gone to sleep and is dreaming she is Ch...

जन्म भी अपने हाथ में नहीं है और मृत्यु भी अपने हाथ में नहीं है l बीच का जो सफर है , उसका वहम होता है कि इसमें किए जाने वाले कर्म मैं करता हूं l यह केवल मिथ्या अहंकार ( false ego, false self identification) मात्र है ।  पर  इस  जीवन का जो आधार है, जिसके ऊपर यह जीवन चलता है ; यहाँ तक कि हमारे श्वास ,,,,, जिनके बिना जीवन एक पल भी टिक नहीं सकता ..... वह भी खुद ब खुद चलते हैं ,,,, उसके साथ ही हम अपना कर्ता-पन नहीं जोड़ सकते ... तो बाकी सब में कर्ता-पन लगाना सबसे बड़ा वहम है l इस प्रकार से हमारा सारा जीवन वास्तव में दृष्टा है ,,,, करता है ही नहीं l अपने भीतर के उस दृष्टा का साक्षात्कार करना , उस दृष्टा के साथ एक होना ही आत्म साक्षात्कार है l वही हमारी वास्तविक पहचान है ।  जिस प्रकार किसी अभिनेता के अभिनय के बाद अपने वास्तविक रूप में आने पर उसके किरदार से संबंधित सारे कर्म , सारे संबंध शून्य हो जाते हैं, ऐसे ही जब हमें अपनी वास्तविक पहचान हो जाती है , अपने स्वरूप का ज्ञान हो जाता है , तब इस मिथ्या अहंकार , इस माया के अधीन होकर किए जाने वाले कर्म भी कोई मायने नहीं रखते और इन ...

Jai Shri Krishna🙏 Being my first blog post, I would like to say something about the title of the Blog , 'आत्म प्रकाश' - The Light Within.  This light means the  knowledge about the self, the light to realize our own being, our existence, our true identity ..... much beyond the false ego, we do keep identifying ourselves throughout our life , which is the root cause of all the myseries of life.  Light is a must to see everything in the outer world... the world we see with our eyes in outward direction with open eyes , similarly to see/ to realize our own self , we must learn to see in inward direction , ofcourse by closing the eyes ; it must be sounding strange and illogical when someone says to see with closed eyes .... but it is actually like this.  If we think  little deeper, it would be easily understandable that we perceive the world through our five senses ; by seeing, listening, by touch, by smell and by taste.
